Some serve as meditation and reflection tools. Some methods seek to collect data and categorize topics. Purpose and Goal of Inductive Bible StudyĮvery Bible study method will serve a different purpose and aim at a different goal. It taught me that God’s Word is timelessly relevant, deeply informative, and indeed, Good News. The Inductive Bible Study method showed me that understanding the scriptures is not, as I had assumed, beyond my grasp. Unfortunately, it seems like most Christians are unaware of the many tools and methods available to make Bible study not only accessible but transformational. The Bible can be difficult to approach, confusing and intimidating people into complacency towards it. In my life, being given the tools I needed to digest the Bible for myself made an impact I can barely put into words. Studying the Bible is a gift and a blessing within the Christian life. We’re excited to walk together over the next few weeks as we seek to deepen our relationships with God.1.5 Conclusion What is Inductive Bible Study? Introduction Does it line up? Is it consistent with truth found elsewhere in the Bible? Be willing to change your convictions and conclusions as the Holy Spirit teaches you and grows you in your walk with God. Test what you have learned or concluded with the rest of Scripture. You know what else? It’s okay to make mistakes! Don’t be afraid, but be teachable and willing to learn. He wants you to get it! Trust that He will lead you to a correct understanding of His Word. That means the same Spirit that raised Christ from the dead is actively working in your life and is willing and able to help you understand the Bible. If you are a believer in Christ, the Holy Spirit is living and active in your life. God has given us everything we need for life and godliness ( 2 Peter 1:3), and that includes His Word. ![]() You’ll only need your Bible and a pen!
